Caparison means “covering, bedclothes, clothes, to be fashionable, trimmings, horse trappings”

I've always been passionate about beautiful things especially textiles and after many years designing for the fashion and film industry in Sydney and London, I craved fresh air, blue skies and a new challenge.

I wanted to design pieces that were special, lasting and could grow with you or be a cherished hand-me-down.

I returned to Australia to live in the New England region of NSW and Caparison was established in late 2005.

I love the design and production process particularly dyeing and detailing it's that personal connection with each piece that's become increasingly important to our customers and to me.
